First and Last

The first race of the nieuw jaar and the last of the season. The Sunday series is winding down, only two left before everyone takes a breath and starts their road season. Some guys (and gals) going fast-maybe they are going to the Master's Worlds next week. Some, like me, needing a little push to get the year started after a few weeks off the bike. Thankfully a nice and rather warm January day to race around the clubhouse in Hilversum. Although the season did not go as well as would have liked I think I raced more this year than in the last ten. Maybe having a supporters club as all proper racers here do has something to do with that.

Time for a transition. The skinsuit is hung until the fall, thoughts turn from 45 minutes to 4 hours in the saddle. Only 70 days until the pilgrimage to the Flemmish hellingen . . .
